The 7th Annual Northeastern Kentucky Beekeeping School will be held Saturday, February 27th 8:30- 3:30 pm. Registration at the door begins at 7am. Location: Maysville Community & Technical College (1755 Hwy 68, Maysville KY 41056). Preregistration is 20.00 for adults & 7.50 for children 12 & under (To pregister, go to website at http://www.lickingriverbeekeepers.com/7th-annual-northeastern-kentucky-beekeeping-school.h tml). Registration at the door is 25.00/7.50 Coffee & donuts and lunch will be included in registration price. Guest speaker is John G Strang, Professor of Horticulture at UK. He is an Extension Fruit & Vegetable Specialist and will be speaking on the logistics of pollination and pesticides. Classes for registrants include:1st Year Managment, Making Nucs, Making a few backyard queens, swarming, Varroa & Nosema, installing packages & beekeeping production.
