The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) has created a new web-based application called Agent Portal that provides a secure way for agent locations to access KDFWR license sales, financial reporting, and other administrative functions.
Device and Browser
Agent Portal should work in all modern browsers and devices (if not, please let us know). Our primary tested environment is Windows PC with Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer.
URL and Domains
It is required to allow access to https://app.fw.ky.gov, but we recommend also providing access to http://fw.ky.gov to allow viewing license requirements.
Printer
Receipts, licenses, and permits should be printed on standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper. We recommend using a laser printer. Color is not required.
Administrative Account
Each agent location will have an administrative login account. That account will have the ability to:
Clerk Accounts
Optional, but recommended for larger agents with multiple staff members. Clerk accounts can only sell licenses on computers authorized by the administrative account. Clerk accounts have the ability to:
Use the following four steps to access Agent Portal.
All agents must initially retrieve their login information by contacting the KDSS office.

Required: (to verify account)
Go to: app.fw.ky.gov/agentportal and provide your username and password.
Provide a unique id for the device being used, then press the "Authorize" button. (Only authorized devices will be able to sell licenses as an agent)
After all previous steps are completed, click "License and Permit Sales" to start a transaction.
You may also "Deauthorize" to prevent further use of the device for Agent Sales.
