Description:

THIS WORKSHOP HAS A REGISTRATION FEE OF $25. Once you have registered you will recieve a payment request via email from the Double Eagle Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation Treasurer, John Costigan. The chapter has set up a PayPal account for you to make your payment. You can pay a money request or invoice by clicking "Pay Now" in the email we will send to you. If you don’t have a PayPal account, and do not wish to create one, you can pay using a credit or debit card.

Here’s how:

1. Check your email inbox for an email that includes the money request or invoice.

2. Click the Pay Now button in the email. (If you don’t see it, click the link in the email, or copy and paste the link into your browser’s address bar.)

3. If you already have a PayPal account, enter your password and click Log In. To pay without creating a PayPal account, click debit or credit card.

4. Review the money request or invoice, and then click Pay Now to complete your transaction.

Or: To create a new PayPal account and pay using your new account, click Continue and follow the instructions.

This workshop will cover everything you need to know about hunting turkey! Topics covered will include: history of wild turkey, seasons and regulations, turkey biology and habitat, scouting techniques, gender and age identification, calling, hunting equipment, hunting strategies, field dressing, and cooking. We will also be patterning shotguns at the range. The range will be held at Veteran's Memorial WMA in Scott County. The range is about 10 minutes from the extension office and maps will be provided in the morning.

Lunch will be on your own. Please be prepaered to eat at a local restaruant or pack a sack lunch. In order to come to this class, you MUST have a valid Kentucky hunting/fishing license. Don't forget, if you bought one any time after March last year, it will EXPIRE February 28th! Licenses can be purchased at https://app.fw.ky.gov/solar/ . If you have not taken your Hunter Education safety course yet, please do so before coming to the event.
