Curtis Gates Lloyd Tube Range Closed

The rifle tube range at Curtis Gates Lloyd Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Grant County is temporarily closed on weekdays only while repairs are being made to a nearby stream structure.
Northern Kentucky Universityā€™s Center for Environmental Restoration is reinforcing a constructed stream channel at the outlet of a former pond basin. Part of the parking area at the tube range is being used to store rock material for the project. An access lane adjacent to the down-range portion of the tube range also is being used to transport material and equipment to the work site.
The project is expected to be finished later this month, barring inclement weather or other conditions that could potentially delay the project.
The tube range remains open and available to the public on weekends. It is open from 9 a.m. until sunset on Saturdays and from noon until sunset on Sundays.
