Description:

Welcome to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Field to Fork Webinar Series! The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife has partnered with experienced deer hunter, Jean-Marie Suggs, for a webinar on field scouting in preparation for deer hunting. You’ve got the place. You’ve got the gear. You just need to know where to find the deer. We’ll take a real-live virtual hike through the woods to learn how to scout for deer, how to identify the trails they take, what their seasonal and daily needs are so that you can set yourself up for a successful hunt. In addition to finding tracks, how can you be confident you’ll know where they are going to be? We’ll also look at great locations (and not great locations) for tree stands and blinds. These tips can apply to public or private hunting lands. We’ll talk about the tools you need, when to go scouting, and some common pitfalls to avoid. Whether it’s that big buck or meat in the freezer (or both), here’s how to find out what you need to know before opening day!

This webinar will be given over the Zoom Video Communications platform. All registrants will receive a link to the webinar via email. Please try to join the webinar at least 15 minutes early. If you have issues joining the webinar reach out to the program coordinator.

There are separate registration links for each webinar. If you would like to attend more than one webinar in this series, be sure to register for each one individually.
