Free 3-D archery shoot this is for everyone. There will be 30 3-D targets set up on the Jones-Keeney WMA range through the woods and hills. Targets from small to big. We give back to the community. So come on out and enjoy a day of archery with friends and family.

30 target 3-D archery course located in the woods and hills of the Jones-Keeney WMA. Hosted by the Caldwell County Sportsman Club. Our targets range from a small armadillo to a buffalo. Your get a unique experience unlike any other, we have moving targets and at times a steel change target. We welcome all ages and skill levels. We use ASA scoring with club rules. This course will teach you the basics of catching, cleaning and cooking fish. Whether you are an experienced angler or a first-time fisherman, this course will teach you the skills and knowledge you need to get started in fishing.

July 18th, 9:00am-5:00pm, Hardin County Cooperative Extension Office

The classroom portion covers basic concepts including fish identification, biology, fish habitat, equipment, conservation, licensing/regulations, knot tying, both artificial and live bait selection, hook removal, fishing safety, where to fish, how to filet fish, food preparation and cooking, proper food storage, and food sampling.

The afternoon will be the fishing portion of the class. KDFWR will provide all the equipment and bait so participants can test out the newly acquired fishing skills. This will be held at Freeman Park.
