Directions: From BG Parkway – Take 1st Versailles exit (Hwy 33). Turn right (from Lexington) or left (from Lawrenceburg). At 1stlight, turn left onto Falling Springs Blvd. (2113 Connector). Go straight through 2 lights and you will be on Beasley Road. Cross the railroad tracks and the Agriculture Resource Building is the on the right. From I-64 – Take the Versailles/Frankfort exit. Turn right onto US 60 toward Versailles (approximately 10 miles to Versailles). Bear right toward downtown business district. Continue through downtown Versailles and turn right at 4thlight (just past the Courthouse and Rocco's Pizza) onto US 62 West/Rose Hill Avenue. ** From I-75 – Take the Airport/BG Parkway exit (Exit #115) and follow signs to Airport/New Circle Rd (Rt 4). Take New Circle Rd to the Versailles/Airport exit. Follow directions from US 60/Versailles Rd. ** From US 60/Versailles Rd (Lexington) – Follow US 60/Versailles Rd until it ends in downtown Versailles. Turn left at the Courthouse traffic light.

Description

**The registration fee for this class is $20 and should be paid in the form of a check made out to the Woodford County Extension Service. You can mail the check, which must arrive prior to the course, or you can stop by the office and deliver it to Elizabeth Coots. If you have questions specifically about the payment you can reach Elizabeth at (859)-873-4601 or elizabeth.coots@uky.edu Learn about butchering, meat safety, and proper methods for home-canning your wild game. Home-canning allows you to control what goes into your food and creates a shelf-stable product. Dehydration and freezing methods will also be covered. Lunch for the day will be provided. You don't need to bring anything for the workshop unless you wish to take notes.
