Regulations

 PRESCRIBED BURN NOTICE​​​​​

Throughout March and April, trained officials with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will use prescribed burns for habitat improvement projects in agency WMAs. Fire experts conduct controlled burns to help restore local ecosystems dependent on fire. Local officials have been notified. Please check back for more information.


Spring Hunting: Open under statewide rules and regulations for the county.

Directions & Description

From US 231 north of Morgantown, take Brownsville Rd. (St Hwy 70) east 9 miles to Leonard Oak Rd. (St Hwy 1328) on the right. Continue onto Millshed Rd. (St Hwy 2266) for 2.1 miles and turn left on Martin Phelps Rd.

Area is open to hunting for statewide regulations and rules in effect for the county. Habitat consists primarily of old-field uplands, forest land, and open-wetland bottoms. Foot travel only from designated parking areas.
