Salt River - Palmer Road Access
Directions:
From Lawrenceburg, take KY-44 west for 11 miles to a left onto Pleasant Grove Ridge Road (KY-1579). After about 2.5 miles, turn left onto Palmer Road. Parking lot is at the end of the road.
Note:
This point is the location of the parking lot. The Salt River is approximately 300 yards away and can be accessed by walking. Palmer Road access is open to allow seasonal fishing access from March 15 until the first Monday in August with some exceptions. Gates will close at noon on the Friday before both the Youth Turkey Season and the General Spring Turkey Season, and will reopen on the Monday following each season at 9 a.m. Turkey season dates vary. Road access is subject to change due to flooding and road maintenance.
