Regulations


Open under statewide rules and regulations, except:

Deer Season Restrictions:

  • Muzzleloader:
  • Modern Gun: Quota Hunts Only.

Rabbit and Quail: Open November 1 – December 31, 2025.

Grouse: Closed. 

Pheasant quota hunts: Pheasant quota hunts, either sex, limit two, November 15-17, 2025; Open November 18, 2025 only to drawn pheasant quota hunters, either sex, limit three; Open November 21 - December 31, 2025, either sex, daily limit three.

Other Restrictions: During the pheasant quota hunt period, pheasant quota hunt units are closed to small game hunting for four consecutive days, starting the third Friday in November. A person shall not hunt sandhill cranes within 100 yards of the normal summer pool level of 675 feet, east of the Hwy. 551 Bridge in the following embayments:

  • Green River to Snake Creek Boat Ramp;
  • Casey Creek to Hwy. 76 bridge.

Directions & Description

WMA consists of shoreline surrounding Green River Lake. Located between Campbellsville and Columbia.

From Campbellsville take HWY 70 East 4 miles to where WMA begins. You can also take HWY 76 off of HWY 70 to other portions of the WMA. From Columbia take HWY 551 North for 8 miles or HWY 206 North for 12 miles to WMA. Various other county roads or boats can also be used to access the WMA.

Gently rolling terrain with flat bottoms and ridge tops. Mixed hardwoods with cleared areas in agricultural crops and wildlife food plots. Camping in designated areas only. Boating, fishing at Green River Lake State Park.
