This program was designed by the Ruffed Grouse Society and the American Woodcock Society as an introduction to upland bird hunting with dogs. Lifelong upland game hunters from these organizations have partnered with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to host this program. The topics that will be covered during the workshop include gun safety, marksmanship, dog handling, field skills, habitat awareness, mapping, and more! All of the equipment for the program will be provided. You will be receiving a booklet to take notes in so we encourage you to do so, and keep it as a reference for the future. Dress for the weather and wear shoes that are able to get muddy. About 75% of the workshop will be outside. If you have questions please contact the program coordinator.
