This course will teach you the basics of hunting squirrels in Kentucky. Whether you are an experienced sportsman or a first-time hunter, this course will teach you the skills and knowledge you need to get started in squirrel hunting. This course will begin with a classroom portion focused on squirrel biology and behavior, hunting regulations, safety, best practices, and processing. After the classroom portion there will be a range portion offered to familiarize new hunters with their firearms and certify anyone who needs their hunter education range day certification. Finally, participants will be paired with a mentor to go on the hunt at the same location as the rest of the course!
