10AM: Natural Landscaping - Linda Porter, Outreach Coordinator for the Lexington Wild Ones chapter will discuss the importance of native plants, gardening for pollinators, and habitat restoration. Please register by calling 502-564-7863 (regular admission applies)
3PM: Native Bee Workshop - learn about the bees native to your backyard from Adam Leonberger (Franklin County Extension) and build a bee house to help attract these wonderful, natural, free pollinators to your garden. A $10 class fee pays for everything you need and admission to Salato. Please register in person before May 25th, or register by mail: Salato, 1 Sportsman's Lane, Frankfort, KY 40601.
Alicia Bosela of Ironweed Native Plant Nursery will also be on hand to offer landscaping and plant selection advice. She'll also have a supply of native plants for purchase, while supplies last!
