Join Kentucky Fish and Wildlife’s Hook and Cook program for a three-part webinar on getting started in fishing

Where to fish! May 4, 6-7:30 p.m. (Eastern). Please join us as we walk you through the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife website, fw.ky.gov. We’ll show you how to use the website to find fishing opportunities close to you. Fisheries Biologist Dane Balsman will share information about the Fishing in the Neighborhoods (FINs) program and what to expect at a FINs lake.

Pan fishing 101. May 11, 6-7:30 p.m. (Eastern). Associate Editor Lee McClellan with Kentucky Afield magazine joins us to share his knowledge of different pan fishing rod and reels, types of bait and species of fish. Lee will explain why he chooses each bait type or rod and reel for a specific species of pan fish.

Cooking 101. May 18, 6-7:30 p.m. (Eastern). Martha Yount from the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service joins us to share some great information on cooking fish and recipes you can make at home. Martha will also share additional resources available to you online.
